Shop Small is an international movement to support small, independent businesses and call attention to the valuable and distinct contributions they make to their communities and the economy
Small Business Saturday presents shoppers with a unique opportunity to show support for local businesses. It's important to remember that this event is designed to encourage people to shop small not only during the holidays but at any time of the year and remind consumers that they play a key role in helping the small businesses in their community thrive, and encourage them to get out and shop and dine at local businesses.
Small Business Saturday started as a campaign launched by American Express on Nov.27, 2010, to help small businesses gain exposure and to inspire consumers to shop within their own communities during the holiday season.
By supporting a small business, you're also supporting the local community. Spending your money there helps to stimulate the local economy and keep business booming within your local region. The support of the community works both ways when it comes to buying from and
owning a small business.
After surviving the Co-vid storm in mostly one piece, we still need the support of our local community. Small businesses try to define themselves in a unique and distinct manner. We want to bring you in to see all the cool stuff we have to offer. We strive to be the best versions of ourselves so that you can find that unique item you didn't realize you can't live without.
Stores all over the country - Mom & Pop stores just like us - strive to keep you coming back. Closures, employee shortages and missing products have plagued many of us. We are getting over the hump - we can survive - but it takes our community to keep us alive.
Anyone can shop online and we all do it - BUT if you have the opportunity to keep the money in your community wouldn't you? Shopping local keeps those stores alive. Las Vegas is especially unique in that we don't have many boutiques. We are a city full of chain stores and outlet malls. So many restaurants and shops that have gone away do so because the locals just didn't show up. We want to be around to serve you for another 40 years!! We take comfort very seriously and we want to help you find your next awesome shoe.
